| The primary goal of our research is to investigate the development and progression of chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML). CML results from translocation of chromosomes 9 and 22 and yields an unregulated Break-Point-Cluster-Abelson (Bcr-Abl) mutant kinase. The Bcr-Abl protein signalling then leads to disruption of important molecular interactions that non-mutant Abl kinase regulates.
